DIYElectronics Returns Procedure




Please follow all the steps below should you wish to return an unwanted or defective product:


1. Read the terms and conditions
- We encourage you to read through sections 3, 4 and 5 of our terms and conditions to ascertain whether you are permitted to return your item:

2. Download and fill out the Returns Form
- Download the attached Returns form and fill out all the sections labelled 
(to be filled out by customer) date, sign and send back to us. Please populate all sections.


3. Provide supporting evidence
- Together with your filled-out
Returns Form you are required to send us some supporting evidence that can substantiate your claim. This can be in the form and a video clip or some pictures. This will help us further investigate the issue and assist you as best as possible in resolving the issue.

4. Prepare the return parcel
- Once the returns form has been validated by our support agent you will be informed that your collection is to be booked and you are to prepare the return parcel. Once again make sure you have met the requirements of section 3.2.1 (i) in our terms and conditions. Thereafter it is important once the original packaging has been used to properly secure the package to ensure it is not damaged in transit and your claim isn’t rejected. 

- If you are returning a product unused within 7 days as an unwanted product for a full refund we will not use the collection procedure it is up to you to ship the product back to us making sure that all terms of section 3.1 are met.


- Once the return has been booked you will be contacted by our dispatch department with the relevant details.



4. Repair, Replace or Refund 
- As stated in section 5.2.2 we reserve the right to inspect the goods once they are received. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will repair / replace the product (if such repair is possible / we have the same product in stock to use as a replacement) or credit your account with the purchase price of the product (or refund you if that is your preference).


- Should we find that the product returned is not indeed defective or falls under section 3.4 above or does not meet the requirements in section 3.2 we reserve the right to revoke your claim or charge you for all repair and freight costs or any missing parts associated with the return, as well as an assessment fee.
